This course is presented to you by “Educación Andaluza del PRE” (Andalusian education of the PRE). An organization purely dedicated to the correct education and promotion of the Purebred Spanish horse.
E.A.P.R.E
This indepth course covers six day teachings (Monday to Saturday). A total of twenty-one hours theory and practicals.
Basic overall summary the course:
- The history of the breed
- The diverse bloodlines and how the lines have developed over the years
- Correct conformation and movement
- Nutrition: How the PRE has evolved, the correct diet and adapting the PRE to a new climate.
- Breeding systems in Spain
- Correct balance and shoeing
- Conformation of the mouth specific to the PRE. Correct bit, bit position and bitless bridles.
- Saddlery and the correct fitting for the conformation and movement of the PRE
- Spanish tack and dress for the various disciplines
- The ANCCE: The organization, registration processes, certification, qualifications and competition information
- Veterinary: The process and importance of a pre-purchase examination and what they should include. Regenerative medicine in the PRE. Piroplasmosis and other related diseases.
- Colour genetics in the PRE
- The presentation of the PRE for conformation and functionality classes
- A guide how to train the PRE correctly for its conformation and movement. Taught by Sarah-Jane Clarke and backed up by renowned Osteopaths and Veterinaries. Rider position to fully adapt and emphasize PRE movement. Errors made in training.
- The various disciplines and immense versatility participated by the PRE in Spain: Doma Vaquera, Dressage, High School and driving
All topics included will be covered in extensive detail taught during mornings 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. Afternoon activities will include practical lessons, demonstrations and visits. Length of time will depend on location but will average at least five hours per day.
This course is aimed towards professionals, International breed Associations members, breeders, trainers, private owners, those thinking of buying a PRE, and anyone enthusiastic to learn more about this important breed.
Lectures, demonstrations and practical’s will be based at various renowned institutions in the Jerez and Cádiz region. Speakers are all professionals, (Vets, breeders, nutritionists, trainers etc,.) that have spent many years working and specialising with the Purebred Spanish Horse. Of whom Participants will have direct contact with throughout the course.
On completion of the course all participants will receive a certificate showing they attended for the full duration and have participated in all lectures. Leaving with a firm base knowledge of the breed.
Cost of course and certification €1450.00 per person.
Minimum of six persons per course and maximum of twenty to insure full learning experience.
